The 1.5KW motor can be programmed from 9,000 - 18,000rpm to achieve fast and clean drilling operations. The glue insertion unit uses a membrane pump for low viscosity PVA glue with dosing facility. Dowels are stored in a vibration hopper and fed into an 8-position revolver to be prepared for pneumatic insertion. Insertion and drilling operation can be done simultaneously for increased speed (pitch 96mm). |

The PLC is interfaced through a PC with software “WP-Studio”. Programming is supported by visual display of the work piece, indication of the work zone to be used, and symbols showing the processes in the program (drilling, gluing, dowelling). The organisation of the machine is assisted by the use of work lists. |
