To ensure the product arrives at the customers as the manufacturer intended, Erregi has specialised in the protecting of all types of products. For the Woodworking industry this protection is in the shrink-wrap domain.
Erregi has developed a range of machines, which compensate for the short falls of other shrink-wrap machines.
The principal behind the Erregi wrapping machine is extremely clever, yet simple in operation. |

The system works by positioning 3 - 6 pairs of different width shrink film on a racking system on top of the machine infeed area, with the bottom roller of the active pair below the infeed position.
As cabinets or components pass into the machine an optical device reads the component size allowing the width of upper film to be selected, suitable for the component to be wrapped. If the active pair is not suitable the telescopic conveyer belt retracts allowing to change the active bottom roller. The component then passes through and is covered with the shrink wrap material. The hot bar then drops down again and welds the rear edges together ready for the next component.
The unit continues its journey on through the hot air tunnel, which heats the shrink wrap plastic causing it to reduce in size and form a protective coat over the cabinet without damaging or even heating up the cabinet.
This system speeds up the change of material width to better fit the components to be wrapped, reducing set-up time, wastage and costs. |
