This line is a combination of 2 modules out of the CMB range of packaging machines: It incorporates a wrapping module for sealable packaging material (i.e. foam or bubble wrap) and a spiral wrapping machine for stretch film, including an integral bridge for small components.
The Coolpack can automatically detect and wrap different shaped and different sized products - a highly flexible machine. |

Description of cycle
This example has been specified for packaging furniture and components with 2 layers of packaging: 1 layer of bubble wrap for protection against impact and one sealing layer of stretch film.
A conveyor takes the product through a curtain of sealable material (polythene, bubble wrap, recycled polythene or foam) which is supplied from a pair of material reels: One from above, one from below (it is actually placed beside the conveyor to allow for larger diameters). A welding bar seals it at the rear edge and cuts the seam in the middle, thereby re-joining the 2 material ends. This creates a protecting sleeve around the product, sealed at front and rear, open on the sides.
An intermediate conveyor takes the product to the Spiral Wrapping machine which clamps the product down and wraps it tightly with a programmable number of extra wraps at the front and rear end. A cutting device cuts the tail of stretch film automatically. |
