Salvador Optimising Crosscut Saws

With increasing labour and material costs the need to reduce both waste and time is of paramount importance. The range of machines from Salvador fulfil both functions. The ability to defect cut is also available and achievable at very high speed with a high degree of accuracy. The machines offer a range of features which together with fast and efficient optimisation software will achieve savings of typically 15% on material cost and 30% on labour whilst giving an accuracy of ± 0.1 mm regardless of length.

The machine is available in various configurations and with varying levels of optimisation dependant on specific requirements. With the full optimisation package the operator simply loads the board and starts the cutting list. The pusher will automatically sense the length of timber on its return stroke and execute the cutting pattern whilst minimising the waste.

The inclined infeed table ensures the board is correctly aligned to the fence and powerful grippers ensure that the saw blade cuts cleanly and squarely.

The material is fed at up to 10 metres per minute and depending on the dimension of the workpiece the cutting time can be as fast as 0.1 seconds.

A range of options are available including inkjet printing on finished parts for future identification, automatic loading and unloading and off-cut transportation.
